About Hawk Nelson:
This powerhouse, pop rock foursome hailing from Canada has won the hearts of thousands since their debut release. In 2009, Hawk Nelson performed fans across the country with the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, REVOLVE tour, the Rock and Worship Roadshow and Skillet's Awake & Alive tour. Despite their insanetouring schedule, the guys recorded their fourth studio album, “Live Life Loud," which released September 2009. This release was the third top album on the overall Christian chart, the 18th digital album in the nation, the second digital album on the Christian chart and debuted with eight singles in the Top 200 digital tracks during street week. "Live Life Loud" followed the successful release, Hawk Nelson Is My Friend, which debuted at #34 on the Billboard Top 200 selling more than 18k units in its first week. About Sidewalk Prophets:
As one of Christian music's fastest rising new bands, Sidewalk Prophets debut record, These Simple Truths, has scanned more than 135,000 copies since releasing in August 2009. Their first single, "The Words I Would Say", made a huge impact at radio and earned them their first #1 single. In 2010 the band won the Best New Artist category at the 41st Annual GMA Music Awards. Gaining their start leading chapel at Anderson University where founding members Dave Frey and Ben McDonald met, Sidewalk Prophets began playing anywhere they could get an audience. Moving to Nashville on awing and a prayer with nothing but an EP the band eventually signed with Fervent Records. The band has most recently been in studio working on their highly anticipated sophomore release scheduled to come out in 2012.
About Rend Collective Experiment:
An inherent desire for something spiritually substantive in our increasingly artificial world is exactly what brought together a movement of friends known as Rend Collective Experiment. United by a common purpose, these 20-somethings hailing from Northern Ireland began exploring the intersection between God, life and community. As band leader Gareth Gilkeson shares, “Rend was a student movement representing numerous churches, and the ‘collective’ grew out of that. The songs came from an organic environment, searching after the heart of God. We wanted to reflect what God was doing and teaching us, and offer that up for the rest of the world to hear.” Rather than sharing what they learned along the way in lofty sermons and heady theological books, the group instead found its unique voice through the universal beauty of music collaboration. And that unfussy, unforced approach to making art is resonating with others following their debut album Organic Family Hymnal and their new and appropriately titled Homemade Worship By Handmade People. Recorded in churches and homes in their unique style, their latest collection of songs fuses a depth of sung theology and fresh melodies with a soundscape reminiscent of Mumford & Sons, Fleet Foxes and Snow Patrol.
